Columnar antiferromagnetic order of a MBene monolayer

نویسندگان

چکیده

First-principles density functional theory, combined with the Monte Carlo method, predicts that ${\mathrm{Fe}}_{2}{\mathrm{B}}_{2}$ monolayer of MBene family has a stable columnar antiferromagnetic (AFM) ground state. Below critical temperature, ${T}_{c}=115$ K in equilibrium, spins rotate by same amount every other column Fe atoms, but they retain direction column. Under applied tensile strains, ${T}_{c}$ and order parameter can increase nonmonotonically. The onset result transition from two dimension (2D) to 1D magnetic, electronic, conduction properties. ordered magnetic state itself be tuned external field, whereby changes ferromagnetic double hysteresis behavior. When terminated Fluorine AFM rising above room temperature. This situation is rather unusual insofar fundamental for realistic, strictly 2D have consequences spin conduction.

Order and disorder in columnar joints

– Columnar joints are three-dimensional fracture networks that form in cooling basalt and several other media. The network organizes itself into ordered, mostly hexagonal columns. The same pattern can be observed on a smaller scale in desiccating starch. We show how surface boundary conditions in the desiccation of starch affect the formation of columnar joints. Under constant drying power cond...

Antiferromagnetic order in the FFLO state

We investigate the antiferromagnetic (AF) order in the d-wave superconducting (SC) state at high magnetic fields. A two-dimensional model with on-site repulsion U , intersite attractive interaction V and antiferromagnetic exchange interaction J is solved using the mean field theory. For finite values of U and J , a first order transition occurs from the normal state to the FFLO state, while the...

Antiferromagnetic order and dielectric gap within the vortex core of antiferromagnetic superconductor

The structure of a superconducting vortex has been studied theoretically for a dirty antiferromagnetic superconductor (AFSC), modelling an AFSC as a doped semi-metal with s-wave superconducting pairing and antiferromagnetic (dielectric) interaction between electrons (holes). It is also supposed that the quasiparticles dispersion law possesses the property of nesting. The distribution of the sup...
